Night 2 of the Cactus Flower Comedy Arts Festival at 9pm features improv comedy from The Soap Box featuring stories from Randi Dorman to inspire the comedy (TIM) and then improv from Jill Bernard (Minneapolis, MN) & Shannon Stott (Austin, TX) to close the show!
Jill Bernard (she/her) has been performing with ComedySportz-Twin Cities since 1993, and is a founding member of HUGE Theater in Minneapolis. Her one-woman improv piece, Drum Machine, has been featured in over forty improv festivals. She has taught and performed improv in Argentina, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates and in over forty of the United States; and also on an episode of MTV “Made.”
Shannon Stott is an improvisor, based in Austin, TX. She has been performing and teaching improvisational theater since 2001 getting her start with ComedySportz Richmond. She has taught nationally and internationally and is currently working on a YouTube channel sharing improv lessons and tools to enrich improvisers journeys. Shannon has seen improv change lives on and off the stage and strives to teach improv so that it continues to do so.
Community and business leader Randi Dorman loves showing what is possible in Tucson. From downtown redevelopment to the arts to politics, she likes to be involved in all of it. She was was named Most Influential Woman in Tucson in AZ Foothills Magazine three years in a row, and last year she took the plunge into politics and ran for Mayor of Tucson.
