Instructor: Paul Mone - Belfast Improv (Northern Ireland)
Saturday, February 8th - 3:00 pm-5:00 pm
Price: $30
Overview: Ever feel like you're in a scene that isn't going anywhere? Or, worse, that you're the one messing things up? You're not alone - we all question ourselves and our scene choices from time to time. Unfortunately these doubts can stay with us and hold us back both on and off stage.
The No Compromises workshop gives you a framework of thinking about improv that will allow you to dispel the voices that tell you you're not enough. By the end of the workshop you'll find yourself making bolder decisions, creating more interesting characters, and feeling a lot better about yourself as a performer!
This workshop is for you if you're afraid of 'breaking' a scene or generally not being good enough. You're good enough - I promise.
Recent participant feedback for 'No Compromises': Paul’s workshop was a revelation. He dares you to hold the tension, dive headfirst into the fun and trust that your weird is wonderful. (Protect the freak!) He’ll challenge you with radical honesty, give you tools to overcome roadblocks, cheer you on, and remind you that a strong point of view is the key to magic on stage. Highly recommend for anyone looking to level up and energise their improv.
Paul Mone is the founder and Creative Director of Belfast Improv (Northern Ireland), where he has been teaching and performing for over a decade. TJ Jagadowski once complimented him on his scene work and he never shuts up about it.
