Sometimes character work is geared towards auditions and broader conceptual comedy, but often the most successful solo shows are based on personal experience. This workshop will focus on taking any personal experience that you feel comfortable sharing and crafting it into solo material. 

BIO: MaryCatherine hails from Maryland where she studied Theatre Performance at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory and iO Training Center. She currently teaches and performs at iO Chicago (Virgin Daiquiri, Lil Tooties, Glass Basement); she also teaches, writes and performs at the Annoyance Theater (Shebeast, Trigger Happy, Bite Size Broadway). She has written and performed 3 solo shows, "Nimrod" (Public House), "Hideous" (Annoyance), and "One Woman Space Jam" (iO); She also performed for the Second City in their House Ensemble and aboard the NCL Breakaway.
