Coaching is the most fun…if you know what you’re doing & are confident doing it. Improvisers are often expected to know how to coach just because they’re good on stage - that’s not always true! This workshop will help take the bigness out of being an expert & offer ways you can lead workshops, coach teams and provide notes effectively. Emily is a huge fan of tough love, positive energy & a fair amount of adult language to be honest.
Emily Holland: an Al Bundy, Goldie Hawn, sloth inspired human woman.
Emily (that's me) started performing improv in 2004 & became funny on stage by 2006. In addition to being a resident cast member & producer at major comedy theaters coast to coast, I've had the best time playing on stages all over the entire world including the Tokyo Improv Festival & the Pirates of Dotombori in Osaka, DCM, Chicago Improv Festival, BCAF, NCCAF, PHIF, WICF, Tiny Funny Women Fest, Duofest, Charleston Comedy Fest, Out of Bounds, TCAF (heard of it?), Big City Improv Fest & probably more...I'm very sleepy.
I am super very excited to be back in Tucson to play & teach & laugh (fingers crossed!!!). My only promise is that you will have the best time, be pushed hard (but with so much love) & learn at least one new thing.
SOME OF MY FAVORITE THINGS:
movie: Beetlejuice
animal: hippo
candy: taffy/jellybeans/donuts/etc
album: the score, jagged little pill & at least 5 more
secret about herself: ...you'll have to come to my workshop to find out! ha haaaa! #cliffhanger
