Thank You For Listening

  • 414 East 9th Street Tucson, AZ, 85705 United States (map)

Instructor: Brooke Hartnett
Saturday, November 9th 3pm-5:30pm
Price: $35

In this workshop, we’ll work together to hone your listening skills. By building scenes line-by-line, you’ll learn how to identify what is already present and available for you to use. Truly listening to your scene partner, your environment, and yourself will lessen the pressure you might feel to “invent” and really open you up for more “discoveries.”

There will be a heavy emphasis on grounded & patient two-person scenes - but you will be able to use this tool in every kind of show you do.

Brooke Hartnett lives and performs in Chicago, IL. Usually you can find her team Pappy performing at iO Theater and other venues in the city. Brooke also produces a weekly show at Logan Square Improv and is a part of the iO Podcast Network’s “Pappy & Friends Hit The Road,” a weekly improvised podcast. She went to college (and started improvising) in Tucson and is so so so glad to be back for the Tucson Comedy Arts Fest (and for the pizza at Time Market).
